My life as an artist has been a journey with God at the forefront. My style evolved as I expressed my sorrow over the sudden loss of my cousin. I saw an image during prayer, and I wanted to create it and drawing left it lacking in depth; so I began to add cut paper in layers creating a 3D effect “Transformation” was born!
Creativity and perseverance are my gifts! I am not afraid to be innovative! And if at first I do not succeed , I do not throw it away. I change it! Experimenting with materials and applications leads to avenues of discovery that I then add to my repertoire.
I discovered a photo app on my IPad which creates special effects. I became mesmerized with the unique images so I printed them and began incorporating cut pictures into my art. Some of the images would inspire a new creative piece and I would print the image on canvas as a starting point
My 3D mixed media art comes to life as it jumps off the canvas with sculptural relief techniques! I am self taught with a few classes along the way to hone my talent.
